ABOUT THE JAMBOREE
A Day of Soccer and Service
The SFC MLK Day Jamboree gives U8 players the chance to compete in an indoor winter jamboree at our home field house in Winchester. Held in remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his enduring legacy, the day combines competitive youth soccer with an opportunity to give back to the community.
Expect a professionally organized jamboree with competitive play in a supportive, positive and fun environment for young athletes, and at least three games for every team.
Play — Three guaranteed 5v5 games for every team, indoors.
Give — Bring gently used soccer gear for youth in need.
Honor — A day held in remembrance of Dr. King and his legacy of service.

ABOUT THE JAMBOREE
Soccer Gear Drive
In keeping with Dr. King’s legacy of service and community, we’re hosting a soccer gear drive at the jamboree. Players, families and teams are encouraged to bring gently used soccer equipment to donate to youth in need.
What to bring
Soccer cleats, shin guards, balls, jerseys, shorts, full uniforms, soccer socks (with no holes), goalkeeper gloves & keeper jerseys, training gear such as cones, pinnies & pop-up goals, backpacks and ball bags.
Please do not bring:

Single or unpaired shoes

Cleats with metal or screw-in studs

Gear from other sports

Used water bottles (new, sealed ones are fine)

Anything torn, stained or worn through
